Our Place Pots and Pans
If you read my blogs, you know that I remodeled my kitchen when I downsized. I accumulated so much over the past 30-plus years. Cooking is my passion. Here is why you Always need these three pots and pans.
Changing My Mindset
I was raised in a home where the kitchen was our gathering place. My mom had a utensil, pot, and pan for every type of cooking. That’s not to mention the myriad of small appliances and gadgets.
So it is not surprising that I followed the same thinking. Every new gadget that came out to simplify cooking created a complicated environment. Sure, it seemed cool to have a dedicated apple corer. A hand mixer and a stand mixer. Four cupcake pans. Several steamers. And more knives than I knew what to do with. And the list goes on and on.
I needed to change my mindset with less space to store the pots, pans, and small appliances. The goal was to minimize clutter while maximizing space. It took me a while to decide what to keep. I realized that the latest kitchen gadgets supposed to simplify my life only made it more complicated.
The Always Pan
I admit being skeptical about getting rid of cooking pans and going with the Always Pan. The pan stated that it is designed to replace 8 traditional cookware pieces. Imagine having a drawer filled with a few items that would do the work of a frying pan, saute pan, steamer, skillet, or saucepan.
I waited for the pan to go on sale and grabbed one in a Sage color. Cooking is a passion of mine. But I wanted to make sure this pan would uncomplicate my life and not question myself for getting rid of my other pans.
You can read the reviews online, but I am sold! I can start cooking on my stovetop and then put it in the oven. I use it to sear, steam, braise, fry and boil. It even has a pour spout so no messes down the sides.
And, these pots are so easy to clean. I’m embarrassed to say that I have burned food in the pot, and that mess washed off so easily.
The Perfect Pot
After loving my Always pan, I decided to buy the Perfect Pot. Again, this pot is multifunctional, from boiling to baking, crisping to steaming. It too comes in seven colors. I stayed with the Sage green. Cleaning is seamless. The pot replaces a stockpot so I can make my chicken soup. It is a dutch oven, saucepot, roasting rack, steamer, strainer, and braiser. Both products come with a spoon rest.
If you love cooking, a cast iron pan is the best. I own the Lodge Chef Collection Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet, which I always use. But, I was so excited when Our Place came out with an enameled cast iron Always Pan. It includes two silicone hot grips to fit the long and short handles. You can take it from stovetop to oven to broiler too.
This was gifted to me by Our Place. Full disclosure… if you decide to purchase this, I will make a small commission. I purchased the other two pans myself as I do not recommend any products I have not tried. I believe in testing products on my dime.
How Many Pots & Pans?
These three products make great gifts for the cooking lovers in your life. They are also perfect for our sons and daughters, who may be setting up their first kitchen. These three pots are all they will need.
Always try to grab them on sale. They run them infrequently, but you can usually get them for 20% off when they do. These are investment pieces so keep that in mind.
