Graduation Restaurants – Great Places to Celebrate
Whether you are a Fall or Spring graduate, chances are you need to hop on making reservations for your celebratory graduation meal with all of your family and friends. Typically, you graduate with your entire class as well as participate in a ceremony from your specific school to celebrate you and your major. Therefore, scheduling time around both of those ceremonies needs to be done as soon as possible. Also, if your family and friends are planning on coming into town to celebrate you, I would recommend using our Hotel blog and book rooms soon as well.
Making reservations early is the way to go because places in Athens get exceedingly packed during graduation and some will only seat you if you have made a reservation. Another thing to consider is that some restaurants are so popular they require a deposit to hold the table (depending on the size of your party, the time you want to eat, etc). Obviously, we have not listed all possible places but these are some of our favorites.
- Last Resort Grill: Does not take reservations
- Hilltop Grille: Reservations Required
- South Kitchen + Bar: Walk-ins only for UGA Graduation dates
- Seabear Oyster Bar: Reservations recommended, call to make them.
- Porterhouse Grill: Reservations required, call to make.
- The Pine: Only take reservations for parties of 8 people or more, must call to make them.
- Five Bar: Has a private room for up to 30 people… must call to reserve.
- George’s Low Country Table: Private room available, must call to reserve.
- Girasoles: Must call for reservations and private room availability.
- Five & Ten: Reservation requests must be made online… Private event reservations are also an available option and that must be reserved via an online request or phone call.
- The National: Reservations must be made over the phone.
- The Place: Does not take reservations
- Shokitini: They have 3 different sized rooms for a meal and karaoke, must call to reserve.
